Denali Team 4: May 22 to June 11 Dispatch #8 Waiting to Move to Camp 4
Denali Team 4: May 22 to June 11
Guides: Angela Seidling and Erik Johnson
Climbers: Llew Gartrell (Australia), Nicholas Durack (UK), Peter Grant (UK), Edward Iglesias (Australia), and Paul Watkins (Australia).
Angela called in with a dispatch at 1:35 pm on June 1st:
“Hello! We put in a cache yesterday and they day went very well. Everyone did fantastic. We had some challenging weather. It was cold, windy, and snowing a bit. But, we were excited we got the opportunity to put on our “warm” clothes! There was some traffic on the lines, but nothing major. We’re currently sitting at camp, anxious to move up. We’re just waiting for the weather to cooperate. It’s not looking promising – we’re on standby. Everyone is having a great time, especially after a hearty breakfast of cheesy hash browns and bacon. The Team is saying they eat better here than at home! Messages:
Happy birthday to my brother Neil, from Angela!!
Paul wants to send his love to his wife and he misses her dearly. Say ‘hi’ to Bitsy for me.
Ok, talk to you later!”
