Kurt called with a dispatch at 11:35 am on May 13:
"Hello! I only have time for a quick message right now, because we’re trying to move fast. Our objective for the day is to move up to 17,000 feet and get established. Everyone on the mountain is on the move right now though, and there are about 4 parties in front of us, so hopefully we can still make good time. The weather is incredibility cold right now. It’s about -20 with a light breeze. But, at least it’s clear and sunny. We can see all the surrounding peaks like yesterday. Send us warm thoughts!"
