Denali Team 4: May 22 to June 11 Dispatch #6

Denali Team 4: May 22 to June 11

Guides: Angela Seidling, Ben Traxler, and Erik Johnson

Climbers: Llew Gartrell (Australia), Nicholas Durack (UK), Peter Grant (UK), Edward Iglesias (Australia), Paul Watkins (Australia), and Martin Halion (UK), and Jon Cook (UK).

Angela called in with a dispatch at 5:30pm on May 27th:

"Hi! This is Angela again. We did a cache today around Windy Corner. It was another extremely beautiful day and we've really lucked out on the weather. The guys are beginning to doubt cold weather even exists up here. Tomorrow we plan to move up to Camp 3. We'll have a lot of time this evening to relax, hydrate, eat, and go to bed early. We'll call this weekend!"

We're all enjoying ourselves here, the weather is cold (I'm sure it's colder there haha)
Only big news is NSW lost the first state of origin =(
Be careful and look after yourself, we're all thinking about you

Hope you all enjoyed your time to relax and that the journey to Camp 3 went well.

Haven't seen any World Cup results for you, but the Champions League didn't result in smiles for Mr Ferguson.

Enjoy the sunshine, stay safe and have fun.

Lots of love from Switzerland,
Caz

Hey Jon Cooks friends and family!
I met Jon yesterday just as he and team 4 was pulling in to 14.000 feet camp. Jon asked me to let you all know that he is well (even though he is still smoking ;), having fun and that he misses and loves you all.
To you Jon, I hope you made it safe to the summit and back again. Lets keep in touch!!!
All the best, Helle

Hello Cooky and everyone,

Hope this message finds you in good spirits and progressing well in your adventure. You are and always will be a true inspiration.

I look forward to being a ghost writer when you put all your adventures onto paper. After all if a UK boxing journalist like Steve Bunce who has probably never climbed a ladder can write a book then so can (should) you!

(I was in a radio show audience with Buncy over the weekend - was invited to be part of the warm up act - huge fun!)

As always I wish you and all your fellow climbers...
... every success

Llew, I just received your voicemail on my phone ( 30/5). I am so disappointed that I didn't get to speak with you - I was in a work meeting.
You sound well and I am very glad. I wanted to ask you things that mothers like to ask but will spare you that on a blog!
Please look after yourself. Enjoy the enforced rest that the bad weather is bringing. Just take care and remember I love you very much.
Mum xx
