Denali Team 6: June 3 to June 23 - Dispatch #6

Guides: Mike Pond, Dustin Byrne, Tad McCrea

Climbers: Jim Bonadonna (New York), David Wain (UK), David Pritchett (UK), Todd Fletcher (Australia), Peter Menne (Germany), David Martin (Australia), Mark Mueller (California), Philip Mace (Bermuda), Brian Knowles (California)

Dustin called at 5:30 pm PST last night, but called the AAI shop number and left a message on their phone with the following dispatch:

You may have got the feeling from the messages that general opinion is that team 5 are better at reporting than team 6. But we all know that you are just conserving your energy for the climb. Glad to hear you are at 14. The photo posted of the team 5 climber digging out their cooking tent gives a small indication of the snow conditions you are dealing with. By contrast, it is really sunny and clear in NZ - will send you some nice weather so you can box on with your climb. Hope the kindle has not frozen up Philis. All the best - Jacqui x
