Denali Team 8: June 10 to June 30 - Dispatch #13

Guides: Andrew Yasso, Mary Harlan, Paul Rosser

Climbers: Geoff Strommer (Oregon), Jennifer Logan (UK), Paul Davies (UK), Steven Hart (Florida), David Chambers (Texas), Brian Roark (Texas), Virginia Cross (Australia),  Selina Dicker (UK)

Andrew Yasso called June 19th at 6:35pm PST with the following dispatch: Hey it's Andrew we are at Camp 2, Sorry for getting interrupted yesterday. We made our cache, we spent about 45 minutes there and got some good acclimatization time in. It took us about an hour to get back down. Mary and Paul's team are atop Motorcycle hill right now about to head down, and I'm back at camp with Jenny, Jennifer and Jeff. Round Trip took us 7 hours which is pretty good. Now we're getting ready to make a big dinner hit the sack and then will wake up and do it all over again. We'll be moving to Camp 3 tomorrow at 14, 200. We can't wait to be there. A lot of people consider Camp 3 advanced base camp, that's where we'll stage for our summit attempt. So, we're watching the weather closely and will try to make the most of the last 10 days of our climb.

Happy Solstice! Wow, longest day of the year at the top of the world must be just amazing! Enjoy, and keep up the good work Team 8!

Hey Super P, glad Motorcycle Hill's well behind you now, and hope you're at or near 14,200. Bummer about the sat phone cutting out during the dispatches. Can't wait to hear from you again. Miss and love you so! Jeanne
