Denali Team 7: June 10 to June 30 (private) - Dispatch #5

Guides: Richard Riquelme, Ben Gardner, David Farkas

Climbers: Guy Munnoch, John Moorhouse, Andrew Jenkins, Andrew May, Sid Ratnavelu, Graham Dawson, Jeremy Middleton

David Farkas called on June 13th at 9:15pm PST with the following dispatch: Hi it's David Farkas with Team 7 calling for the Daily check in and report. We cached at 10,400 ft. today near "windy corner". Now we are back at camp and enjoying some clear skies that hopefully are the start of what could be a lovely high pressure system. We are looking forward to a Thai dinner tonight. I will keep the dispatch short as we have lots of messages to send home.

Messages:

Sid says: Hi, having a great time and the food is great.

Andrew Jenkins says: could someone turn the temperature down please.

Jeremy says: good luck with final exams Lucy and James.

John says: to Natasha, Kara and Jessica; singing up the hill!

Graham to David Emily and Douglas: still pushing up hill.

Guy to Katy: Hope you are having as relaxing a time as us and Andrew May is loving every moment.

Richard to Sarah and Laura: Love you Sammy and Laura, Rich!

Farkasauras says he is well and loving it. Thank you all for helping me be here now!

It's good to hear from you. Sammy wants to say he's sorry for being a "mad guy" and that he loves you. Happy Father's Day on Sunday.

Good look guys, John your mate Dave Pickering told me about your expedition and showed me the photo's from your Ama Dablam, North and South Pole expeditions their class! Try and get some of this climb to him for me if you get the time, please.

Graham, not sure if you see any of these messages but thought I'd try.

I'm honoured that you (with your current hero status) would give us (mere ground motals) a mention. But "still pushing up hill" - Cummon Graham, you're climbing one of the tallest mountains in the world - surely you must be having incredible things to report! Haha

Hope you're coping well with the cold, wind and relentless climbing. Best of luck for the rest of it.

We will have a drink for you (and on you!) at dinner tonight with Mum.

Stay safe, all the best

David
