Denali Team 5: May 27 to June 16 - Dispatch #8

Guides: Alasdair Turner, Chad Cochran, Higinio Gonzalez

Climbers: Mary Neave (UK), James Neave (UK), Alex Round (UK),  Daniel Hughes (UK), Knut Heggland (Norway), Guy Manning (Cayman Islands), Michael Rieder (Idaho)

Alasdair called at 11:15 am PST with this dispatch:

"It's a little like the movie "Goundhog Day" here at 16,700, with more of the same:  windy and expecting more winds for the indefinite future.  There is a huge lenticular forming over the summit.  We were expecting a rest day yesterday, but the day actually turned out to be really nice, so we decided to get things prepped and do a high cache.

That's it for now.  Hopefully the weather gets better soon!"

Hey Alex,

Following your progress. Good luck - some sh*t weather is always expected on Denali. Rest up and get ready for those Denali sandwiches. Hope the gear is holding up.
