Denali Team 5: May 27 to June 16 - Dispatch #12

Climbers: Mary Neave (UK), James Neave (UK), Alex Round (UK),  Daniel Hughes (UK), Knut Heggland (Norway), Guy Manning (Cayman Islands), Michael Rieder (Idaho)

Alasdair called June 13th at 1pm PST with the following dispatch: We are still be at 14,000. We are going to leave about 1pm and will walk through the night and hopefully fly out tomorrow.

So sorry to hear about Swati. Hang in there Team 8 - she's in good hands. May her transport back to base camp be unencumbered and swift, and may weather remain functional. Paul, you are in my heart & prayers every step of the way. God bless & watch over you all.

Hi Mary,James and everyone on Team 5. Sorry to hear the weather prevented you from getting to the summit. It looks like a really strong team and I'm sure you would all have got there if the weather had been kinder. Sounds like the guides have done an excellent job in tough conditions. Dan - we've told loads of people about Everest Million. Videos have been great. Peter

Now that's a long walk down you lot just did! So relieved you are out of that camp. Please tell Alex that to celebrate his descent Laura has given birth to a huge Denali sized baby. Oscar Scott 10 1/2 pounds! A bucks fizz morning! love Mum x
