"Hi, it's Mike Pond.  Dustin, Tad and I and our crew have finished a night carry to Camp 1, across from the junction of the Northeast Fork and the main Kahiltna Glacier.  Everyone looks strong and it's really beautiful here ... [garbled ] ... lovely pre-dawn light.  Were going to watch the weather and ..." [here the sat phone connection was lost, a common occurrence.]
